WHY IT EXISTS

Acceleration hides in plain delta numbers.

Delta tells you whether aggression is net buying or selling, but staring at raw numbers bar after bar makes it hard to spot the moment initiative flow actually accelerates.

A big absolute delta on a quiet instrument means something completely different than the same number in a fast market, so a fixed threshold is useless. Delta Breakout measures each bar’s aggression against its own recent average and only alerts when a bar genuinely stands out.

WHAT IT DOES

Built to do one job well.

Context-relative events

It fires when a bar’s aggression breaks out of its own recent range, not on an arbitrary fixed number.

Self-calibrating

The same settings adapt from a quiet overnight session to a fast open.

Directional out of the box

An up marker below the bar for buy-side surges, a down marker above the bar for sell-side.

Signal on close

Optionally confirm only on completed bars, so you never react to a half-formed bar.

HOW IT WORKS

Strict rules, no guesswork.

Each bar’s aggression is compared against an average built from the bars around it, deliberately excluding the bar itself, so it is measured against its context rather than its own contribution.

When a bar stands far enough out, a directional marker prints on the actionable side of the bar.

The detection logic itself is our work: refined on live tape, and the reason the tool is worth paying for. Sensitivity, filters, colors and display are all yours to tune.

FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

What data feed do I need?
ATAS connected to a feed that provides footprint/cluster data: real per-price bid and ask volume, like Rithmic or CQG. It works on futures, most crypto perpetuals and volume-based stocks. It is not usable on spot forex, which has no centralized volume.
Which chart types and timeframes work best?
Footprint/cluster charts give the cleanest read, and it also renders on candlesticks. Any bar type works: tick, volume, range, time, Renko, reversal and more. It is built for scalping and intraday trading.
Does it repaint?
A live bar’s signal can appear or disappear until it closes. Once a bar is closed its signal is fixed, and Signal on Close shows confirmed signals only.
Can I combine it with my other order-flow tools?
Yes. It is designed as a confluence layer, so it sits cleanly alongside delta, imbalance, POC, VWAP and your own levels. It flags a condition; you decide how to trade it.
How does the 7-day free trial work?
The trial is granted straight to your ATAS account email and expires on its own after 7 days. No card up front, nothing to cancel.
