It starts with a love for reading the tape.
The footprint is our home ground. Bid against ask, delta building and fading, absorption at a level, the exact moment control changes hands. Most traders look at price. We fell in love with watching the fight underneath it, and we never got tired of it.
When you read clusters every single day, you start noticing patterns that repeat. Pressure that builds in a particular way before a level holds. Aggression that goes quiet right where a trend dies. Those observations became rules, the rules became code, and the code got sharpened on live tape until each signal matched the read we would have made ourselves, only faster and without the fatigue.
That suite of tools first shipped for another order flow platform, where traders still run it today. The ATAS editions are native rebuilds of the same logic, written specifically for the platform. Footprint Lab is operated by PFORTRESS LIMITED, and we keep the shop deliberately small: the people who code the indicators trade them, and the same people answer your support emails.
