WHY IT EXISTS

Control changes hands before the pattern shows.

At a swing turn, price often reverses before any moving average or pattern signal fires. The tell is buried in the footprint: where the heaviest traded price sits inside each bar.

Eyeballing that bar by bar across a fast session is slow and easy to miss. POC Flip watches for a specific handoff and marks it on close, so you read the shift at a glance instead of hunting through clusters.

WHAT IT DOES

Built to do one job well.

One unmistakable marker

A subtle two-bar pattern becomes a single clear signal at the swing.

Confirmed on close

Closed bars only, no repaint. A signal that printed stays printed.

An objective definition

Swing structure, POC position and candle direction together, removing hindsight bias from reversal reads.

Tunable strictness

An optional filter demands the POC itself move in the trade direction for only the cleanest handoffs.

HOW IT WORKS

Strict rules, no guesswork.

The indicator reads where each bar’s Point of Control sits inside that bar’s range and looks for a two-bar handoff at a genuine swing: control pinned at the failed extreme, then snapped to the opposite extreme as the next bar reverses.

Detection runs on closed bars only and adapts to each bar’s size rather than using fixed distances.

The detection logic itself is our work: refined on live tape, and the reason the tool is worth paying for. Sensitivity, filters, colors and display are all yours to tune.

FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

What data feed do I need?
ATAS connected to a feed that provides footprint/cluster data: real per-price bid and ask volume, like Rithmic or CQG. It works on futures, most crypto perpetuals and volume-based stocks. It is not usable on spot forex, which has no centralized volume.
Which chart types and timeframes work best?
Footprint/cluster charts give the cleanest read, and it also renders on candlesticks. Any bar type works: tick, volume, range, time, Renko, reversal and more. It is built for scalping and intraday trading.
Does it repaint?
No. Detection runs on closed bars only and the forming bar is never marked.
Can I combine it with my other order-flow tools?
Yes. It is designed as a confluence layer, so it sits cleanly alongside delta, imbalance, POC, VWAP and your own levels. It flags a condition; you decide how to trade it.
How does the 7-day free trial work?
The trial is granted straight to your ATAS account email and expires on its own after 7 days. No card up front, nothing to cancel.
